Furniture Designer Full Time Permanent

• Position: Furniture Designer
• Salary:  £25,000 – £30,000 per annum, depending on experience plus good all round company benefits, including pension scheme and 22 days holiday plus all UK bank holidays
• Location : Uckfield, East Sussex
• Hours: Monday – Friday only, 08:30 -17:00, office based
• Role based in Uckfield. There is plenty of free parking on site for all staff and the workplace is located around 15-20 minutes walk from Uckfield station.

We are delighted to be partnered with our friendly, reputable and specialist client as they seek to recruit a Furniture Designer to join their experienced team at their site in Uckfield. This role is available due to strong company growth levels and continued business expansion.

Duties will include:

• Designing products on Imos CAD/CAM system from client specifications
• Modelling components on AutoCAD
• Producing drawings from models using AutoCAD tools
• Producing costings from models
• Producing manufacturing data from CAD
• Thoroughly checking all work at every stage
• Liaising with clients to co-ordinate design / installation
• Job holder will have full training on Imos CAD/CAM system, AlphaCAM CAM system, AutoCAD where required.

Experience, competencies and knowledge required:

• 2-3 years plus of design experience in a manufacturing environment
• AutoCAD proficiency
