Senior Buyer Full Time Permanent

• Position:  Senior Buyer
• Salary:  £35,000 to £40,000
• Location:  Newhaven
• Hours:  Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm (finishing at 4pm Fridays)

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Buyer or Procurement/Purchasing specialist to join a manufacturing company in the Newhaven area in this Senior Buyer role.

As a Senior Buyer you’ll be planning and purchasing materials, working with other buyers and external suppliers.

Job duties for this Senior Buyer role include:

• Purchasing – managing inventory levels and purchase orders
• Vendor maintenance – building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, sourcing new vendors as required
• Supporting the department, it’s initiatives and working on procurement related projects

Skills & experience required:

• Previous experience as a Buyer or Procurement professional
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent computer literacy especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• CIPS or related qualification is beneficial but not essential
