Senior Legal Cashier Full Time Permanent

• Position:  Senior Legal Cashier
• Salary:      up to £30,ooo
• Location:  Hastings
• Hours:       Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
• Benefits:  25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and an additional 2 days leave during the Christmas closure, statutory pension scheme, Life insurance, company events

Are you an experienced bookkeeper managing the accounting and finance functions of a law firm? My client has a great opportunity for a Senior Legal Cashier to join the team. You will have previous Legal Cashier experience within a law firm dealing with payments following completion of property sales and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the accounts department.

Job duties of the Senior Legal Cashier are to:

• Perform day to day bookkeeping functions
• Record daily financial transactions, process payments, perform bank reconciliations, and prepare profit and loss reports
• Liaise with clients and their legal representatives
• Check property exchanges and completions, set up, and complete electronic payments
• Arrange foreign payments as requested
• Process Client and Business credits
• Calculate and apply Client interest
• Complete Client to Business transfers
• Maintain Client ledgers

Skills and experience required for Senior Legal Cashier are:

• Two years client-side Legal Cashier experience
• Up-to-date knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
• Microsoft Excel and Word
• Knowledge of Partner for Windows would be an advantage
