Vehicle Technician Full Time Permanent

• Position:  Vehicle Technician
• Salary:  £32,000 – £40,000
• Location:  Farnham
• Hours:  Monday – Friday Weekends on rotation
• Benefits: On-site parking

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester to join a friendly, professional and busy automotive service centre.

You will be working in a modern workshop environment, equipped with the latest diagnostic technology, tools and manufacturer-approved processes. This role involves the diagnosis, repair, servicing and MOT testing of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with manufacturer guidelines.

MOT Tester responsibilities:

• Carry out diagnostic and investigative work to identify and rectify faults
• Complete servicing to manufacturer standards
• Conduct full vehicle inspections to identify non-routine defects
• Carry out Electronic Vehicle Health Checks (EVHCs) and Video Health Checks
• Road test vehicles for diagnostic purposes and post-repair checks
• Liaise closely with Service Advisors, keeping them informed of job progress
• Discuss technical issues with customers where required
• Obtain appropriate authorisation prior to completing additional work
• Maintain a high level of technical knowledge through ongoing training

Skills & experience required:

• Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification
• Valid MOT Licence
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused attitude
• Professional, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
