Warehouse Operative Full Time Permanent

• Position: Warehouse Operative
• Salary: £25,000
• Location: Portslade
• Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 5pm, Friday finish at 4pm

We are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a well-established company based in Portslade that supply materials to the skilled trades sector. You’ll need previous experience working in a busy warehouse environment, with responsibilities including goods-in and goods-out processes, picking and inspecting orders, and handling heavy loads. Warehouse experience is essential and a fork lift licence or FLT experience would be beneficial however, they can offer training inhouse.

As a Warehouse Operative, your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Picking, packing, and inspecting goods for dispatch
• Storing goods correctly and safely within the warehouse
• Operating labelling machines
• Loading and unloading lorries
• Driving forklift tuck
• Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting stock takes

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Prior experience in a warehouse setting
• Forklift experience (desireable but not essential)

This is a full time permanent position working in a warehouse based in Portslade, Brighton. You’ll be working Monday to Thursday between 8:30am-9am start to 5pm-5:30pm finish with a 4:00pm/4:30pm finish on Fridays. The role offers an annual salary of £25,000.
