Accounts Senior Full Time Permanent

• Position: Accounts Senior
• Salary: £45,000 per annum plus very good company benefits
• Location: Uckfield, East Sussex
• Hours: Monday – Friday 09:15 -17:30, the role is primarily office based but there are opportunities to also work from home part of the week
• Free street parking available very nearby.

We are delighted to be working alongside our very professional and highly reputable accountancy based client as they seek to recruit an Accounts Senior (accountancy) to join their Uckfield team on a permanent and full time basis.

Duties / responsibilities:

• Lead client accounts engagements (planning, directing and completion)
• Supervise junior members of staff
• Research and analyse financial statements
• Produce statutory accounts and draft tax computations
• Monitor the progress of jobs to ensure that budgets are met
• Draft client letters and bills
• Proactively interact with the management of key clients to gather information, resolve problems and make recommendations for business and process improvements

Skills and experience required:

Essential

• ACA/ACCA qualified with a demonstrable track record of accounts experience in an accountancy practice
• Excellent technical knowledge of accounting standards, corporation tax, VAT and P11Ds
• Ability to perform to a high technical and professional standard

Desirable

• Working knowledge of Caseware, Sage, Quickbooks, Xero, Alphatax and CCH
